Last week, key Trump administration officials, including Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and top economic adviser Gary Cohn, engaged in additional meetings with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and members of relevant congressional committees to discuss the path forward for comprehensive tax reform. That path begins with Congress passing a budget resolution, allowing the "reconciliation" process to ease passage in the Senate. Then other milestones will need to be reached with considerable speed.
