Senators Propose Bipartisan Tax Reform

CQ.com reports that Oregon Senator Ron Wyden (D) and New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg (R) plan to introduce a bipartisan tax code reform plan.  According to the report:

The pair provided no details of the planned legislation, saying only that it would make the tax code "simpler and fairer," and that it would provide tax relief to working families and encourage business investment. It is expected to be introduced Feb. 23.

While a hopeful announcement, such a plan seems unlikely to advance and Gregg is retiring at the end of the session.
