National Taxpayers Union (NTU) President Pete Sepp on Wednesday announced Katie Watson has joined the organization as Vice President of Operations and Finance.
In this role, Watson will lead the operations and financial management for both NTU and NTU Foundation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Katie and the strategic leadership she will bring to our team,” NTU President Pete Sepp said. “Her executive-level background in building effective and efficient operations at nonprofits will be a strong asset as NTU and NTUF continue to grow in size and impact.”
Watson was previously the Vice President of Operations for The PenFed Foundation. She also has an extensive background in development, including time at the National Army Museum, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
Watson holds a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College, in Bronxville, New York, and a master’s degree in comparative literature from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. In 2023, she earned a certificate in non-profit management from Duke University.
“It’s a privilege to join NTU and NTUF,” Watson said. “I am looking forward to bolstering our operations so we can do even more to protect taxpayers and make government work better.”
National Taxpayers Union is the only free-market organization for taxpayers that unites effective advocacy with useful research about how to limit taxes, spending, and regulation at every level and branch of government—state, federal, administrative, and judicial.
