BBA Claims More Victories in States

Good news for the Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) effort out of Ohio and Michigan.

This week, Ohio’s General Assembly passed an Article V resolution calling for a convention to pass a BBA, which has now made it through both of Ohio’s legislative chambers.

Two weeks ago, Michigan’s State Senate overwhelmingly passed such a resolution, a positive sign as it heads to their House of Representatives.

The Ohio win in particular is a big step for the BBA as states look for an answer to the federal government’s reckless spending and debt; and no state should no better than Michigan what poor fiscal management can do to an economy and its people.

20 states have active measures in their statehouses. Stay tuned with the Balanced Budget Amendment Task Force’s tracker to keep up with what’s happening in your state HERE.
