Sylvia Carranza is the Operations Manager for National Taxpayers Union and National Taxpayers Union Foundation. She provides the management, financial skills and experience to deliver the support the organizations require to succeed in their missions.
Sylvia oversees high-level human resources duties, assists with bookkeeping, and is responsible for personnel management, business and financial management, compensation administration in conjunction with payroll and benefits internally and externally. She is engaging in oversight of all processes necessary for the annual financial audit, conducting nonprofit compliance filings and activities, maintaining and evaluating vendor and consultant relationships, and providing general office management.
Prior to joining NTU and NTUF, Sylvia worked in private banking in Northern Virginia. She has extensive knowledge of financial transaction controls, best business practices, and human resources optimization. In 2015 she completed her B.S. degree, double majoring in Finance and Management from George Mason University. She also holds an A.S. in Management and an A.S. in Social Science from Northern Virginia Community College.
