Politicians on the campaign trail can continue to talk about what they’ll do to straighten out our mangled tax laws in 2017, but the ill-advised rules threaten to maul our economy before this year is out. Treasury must withdraw this scheme now, and Members of Congress must make their opposition clear as well. This is one tax issue that should not wait until after the election.
