This afternoon a $50.7 billion dollar Hurricane Sandy relief bill passed the House, while an amendment that would have enacted spending cuts to offset costs was defeated.

This article from the Daily Caller exposes some peculiar expenses taxpayers are unknowingly funding, including former President Bill Clinton’s DirecTV bill.

According to the Boston Herald, a coalition of revenue- hungry Massachusetts groups including labor and teacher’s unions, are urging Governor Deval Patrick to support a $2 billion tax hike in an effort to avoid paring down spending.
