New Mexico Voters Should Oppose 'Buy Now, Pay Later' Ballot Issues

The COVID pandemic is truly a test of state budgeting acumen, and policymakers across the country are struggling to balance the need for emergency budgeting and business-as-usual debt-financed spending. Unfortunately, New Mexicans must head to the ballot box in November to evaluate more of the same tax-and-spend policies that now have state budgets everywhere in a crunch.
