How Good Is Wisconsin For Remote Work?

2024 Rank: 21

2023 Rank: 19

Wisconsin is the 21st-best state for remote work, offering small filing and withholding thresholds that would be more beneficial as day-based thresholds. Wisconsin also extends a unilateral offer of reciprocity, which has borne fruit in the form of agreements covering over half of all incoming commuters. Unfortunately, despite the fact that Minnesota theoretically extends a similar offer, the prior reciprocity agreement between the two states was paired with a revenue-sharing agreement that eventually broke down. They should seek to revive this agreement.
