The “Cut, Cap, & Balance” push by NTU and many othergroups may be increasing the pressure in particular on Representatives who willface off against one another in primaries due to redistricting in states suchas Illinois & California (where residents fleeing high tax jurisdictionshave cost House seats).

NTU was one of many groups supporting the counting of anindividual’s online signature on a petition. Utah had previously allowed such asignature to be counted, but in California the election law would have to bealtered to count electronic signatures.
