Yesterday was the anniversary “celebration” of the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. One of the most oppressive parts of the bill was the new 1099 requirement that would hammer small businesses. There has also been more progress made on repealing this portion of the bill than others, with both the House and Senate passing such legislation. This New York Times blog on small business addresses the current conundrum of Presidential veto, which President Obama has threatened to any 1099 repeal proposal that does not make up the revenue somewhere else.
