The Late Edition: Federal Legislative Update

Today's Roundup of Taxpayer News

NTU is urging a "Yes" vote on two amendments to the Nominations Reform Bill, an amendment from Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) which would rescind $108 billion in funds to the IMF for European bailouts, and another from Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) amendment that would subject new legislation to a review to ensure it is not creating duplicative programs (a problem you can hear more about in last week's 'Outrage').

Additionally NTU sent letters urging opposition to the NAT GAS act tax and mandate boondoggle, and endorsing Sen. John Kyl's (R-AZ) Small Business Health Health Relief Act which would eliminate job-killing portions of 'Obamacare' liek the employer mandate, fee on insurance companies, and limit on flexible spending accounts.
