The Late Edition: Cut, Cap, & Balance Update, President's Twitter Town Hall

Today's Roundup of Taxpayer News!

President Obama hosted the first ever Twitter town-hall today, and while the focus remained on jobs and the economy, the proposed solutions were all about spending and tax increases. Additionally, questions like NTU's: "Instead of raising taxes on a few energy cos, why not reform the whole system and let a healthier economy boost revenues naturally?"; were ignored in favor of softballs.

On the helpful side of the docket, Rep. David Schweikert published an op-ed in the Washington Times thoughtfully laying out the once in a lifetime significance of our budget problems, and endorsing "Cut, Cap, & Balance."

More good news, New Hampshire's Governor signed spending cap legislation into law, freeing up localities to implement spending caps.

In case you missed it, Pete Sepp appeared on C-SPAN's Washington Journal this morning to take questions on the budget debate!
