NTUF Looks at Legislation from August 2011

Did you miss this week's issue of NTUF's Taxpayer's Tab?  If so, here's a quick recap.

This week, NTUF offers a snapshot of the research conducted in August.

  • During the month of August, NTUF analysts analyzed 318 bills -- 185 were House bills, while 133 were Senate bills.

  • Net federal spending would increase by approximately $1.17 trillion annually, if all of the House bills scored by NTUF in August were enacted.

  • The 133 Senate bills scored last month would raise federal spending by approximately $57.0 billion annually, if all of the bills were enacted.

Each month NTUF updates its list of spending cut bills.  The full spreadsheet, containing 146 bills, can be accessed here.
