Shortly after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) official Sandra Thompson to Director of the agency, National Taxpayers Union (NTU) President Pete Sepp offered the following statement.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency has the vital role of serving the taxpayers' front line of defense in the secondary mortgage market.
