National Taxpayers Union (NTU) on Tuesday announced Thomas Aiello has rejoined the organization as Senior Director of Government Affairs.
In this role, Aiello will help lead the advocacy effort for pro-taxpayer policies in Congress and across the federal government. He will work with NTU Executive Vice President Brandon Arnold, who heads NTU’s Government Affairs team.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tommy back to NTU,” said Pete Sepp, President of National Taxpayers Union. “His deep knowledge of the legislative process and strong relationships are important assets as Congress debates tax reform during a huge year for taxpayers.”
Aiello previously spent five years at NTU as part of the Government Affairs team, where he played a crucial role advancing pro-taxpayer legislation. Most recently, he served as a Director at the DCI Group, where he focused on ally development and strategic partnerships, working closely with think tanks and advocacy groups to advance policy objectives.
“It’s a privilege to return to NTU and work under the leadership of Pete and Brandon to fulfill the organization’s important mission,” Aiello said. “There is so much at stake for America’s taxpayers during this unique time, and I am looking forward to working with members of Congress and the Trump Administration to promote their interests.”
He began his career with internships at a DC-based trade association and in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving two members from his home state of New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from American University.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Aiello remains a passionate follower of local issues and a loyal fan of the Yankees, Rangers, and Jets.
