National Taxpayers Union (NTU) and National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) President Pete Sepp on Monday welcomed Brittany Madni as Senior Fellow for Fiscal Policy and Matthew Dickerson as Senior Fellow for Budget Policy at the organizations.
“Brittany and Matt are two of the most trusted fiscal and budget experts in Washington, DC,” Sepp said. “We’re delighted to have them on Team Taxpayer to continue providing dependable, practical policy support to get the nation’s debt under control and back to regular order in the appropriations process.”
Madni and Dickerson give crucial expertise and research to Congress as well as the Executive Branch, including last year during the One Big Beautiful Bill reconciliation process when they provided pragmatic solutions during the long road to the president’s desk.
In her new role, Madni will focus on federal budget and appropriations policy, fiscal oversight, and legislative strategy. She previously was the Executive Vice President of the Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC). She regularly testifies as an expert witness before congressional committees on budget and fiscal matters.
Meanwhile, Dickerson will focus on the federal budget process and fiscal issues. He previously served as Director of Budget Policy at EPIC. He is a leading expert on fiscal policy issues, including the budget, appropriations, and economic opportunity.
Madni served as a congressional aide and trusted senior advisor on Capitol Hill for over a decade, working for Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA), the U.S. House Budget Committee, where she played a critical role in developing the 2017 Republican health reform bill, Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA), and Congressman Troy Balderson (R-OH).
