Massachusetts passed a tax amnesty program for taxpayers who underreported their income or failed to file their taxes on time. This will give taxpayers an additional two months to file their taxes properly and avoid paying penalties. Read here for more!
D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray vetoed the so-called “yoga tax” bill that would cut taxes for many middle-income families but also expand the sales tax to yoga and gym memberships. However, the City Council plans to override the veto of the $10.6 billion budget, which they passed by a 12-1 margin.
