Latest Edition of “Prime Cuts” Highlights Rampant Government Waste

Recently our friends at Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) released the 2015 iteration of their annual “Prime Cuts” report. This is an outstanding guide for anyone interested in identifying and cutting the fat in the federal budget. As CAGW notes, the 2015 report “contains 601 recommendations that would save taxpayers $639 billion in the first year and $2.6 trillion over five years.”

Some of the highlights include eliminating $5.7 billion in unneeded dairy subsidies, cutting $24 billion in improper Medicare payments, and selling off $15 billion worth of excess federal land and property.

Kudos to CAGW for their great work.
