Halvorson Spends Less, Gets Noticed

Out of 255 Democrats currently serving in the US House of Representatives, Debbie Halvorson of Illinois' 11th District, ranked the 262nd lowest spender according to the National Taxpayers Union Foundation's first session BillTally report – and people have started to notice. News sources are citing "Halvorson's ranked legislation would save taxpayers nearly $30 billion a year, more than 15 other member of the [Democrat] Illinois Delegation" and that such a ranking breaks arguments against the Congresswoman. Representative Halvorson voted for $45 billion in spending but also $28 billion in savings bills, resulting in an overall spending agenda of about $17 billion. Her legislative focus includes veterans affairs, pro-business empowerment, and reducing tax burdens on working families.
