National Taxpayers Conference 2009 is in the books! Thanks

you to everyone who attended. All of you helped to make National
Taxpayers Conference '09 a great success.

Congratulations to Steve
Moore of The
Wall Street Journal. Steve was this year's recipient of the "Happy
Warrior for Taxpayer Freedom" Award. Steve has been opening eyes -- and
minds -- to the vital details on taxes, expenditures, regulations, and
the economy for three decades. Along the way, he has developed numerous
ideas and organizations that today are vital components of the pro-taxpayer
movement. NTU Board Member J. Kenneth Blackwell described Moore as someone
"who has not only been a carrier of the light [of freedom], but he has
been a lamplighter -- intellectually and in terms of his personal commitment
and activity across this nation."
Whether toiling over research without
a though of recognition, or ably explaining to the public the most impenetrable
topics, Steve Moore has been a thoughtful, modest, and upbeat advocate
for fiscal discipline who has truly earned the title, "Happy Warrior."
NTU and NTUF are proud to present him with the 2009 Happy Warrior Award.
