The National Taxpayers Union is hiring a Communications Manager to handle traditional and social media relations and assist with other communications-related duties, including writing and editing newsletters, proofreading written materials from the Government Affairs and Development departments, and producing and co-hosting weekly podcasts.
The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of professional experience in journalism and/or public relations, excellent writing and communications skills, the ability to multitask and work well under deadlines, and a strong commitment to limited government. Experience on Capitol Hill or State Legislatures is a plus. Salary range is $40,000-50,000.

The National Taxpayers Union Foundation, the research and education arm of the National Taxpayers
Union, seeks a policy analyst to assist with the Foundation’s ongoing research on Congressional spending
and other fiscal issues. Individual must be detail-oriented, show a commitment to the cause of limited
government and personal freedom, and have an interest in tax and budget issues. Position requires
legislative research and analysis plus quantitative work, so analytical skills are a must. Strong computer
skills are necessary, as individual will also help maintain various databases. Additionally, applicant should
be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Effective writing skills are important. Position will require some
policy writing (letters to the editor, issue briefs, policy papers).
