Local Measures

  • ( - ) In the Chilton School District, voters will consider a measure that would allow the District to exceed the state revenue limits by $300,000 for 2013-2014 school year; by $550,000 for the 2014-2015 school year; and by $650,000 for the 2015-2016 school year. Doing so would enable the District to raise taxes by these amounts. This meas- ure will also appear on the ballot in portions of Manitowoc County.

Dane County

Local Measures

  • ( - ) Voters in the Middleton School District will consider a ballot measure that would allow the District to exceed state revenue limits by $797,000 for the 2014-2015 school year. Approving the measure would authorize a tax increase in this amount.
  • ( - ) A ballot measure in the Middleton School District would authorize the issuance of $59.9 million in new debt to remodel and equip two mid- dle schools.  A property tax increase would be assessed on residents to pay off this debt.

Door County

Local Measures

  • ( - ) Voters in the Gibraltar School District will consider a measure that would permanently allow the district to exceed the state revenue limits by approximately $2.9 million each year. An override of the same amount is already in effect. This measure would prevent voters from weighing in on this issue in the future.

Eau Claire County

Countywide Measures

  • ( - ) In response to the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, Eau Claire County residents will vote on an advisory measure that would declare that corporations do not have constitutional rights and would seek to limit corporate political contributions. Citizen activists are con- cerned that weakening the ability of businesses to participate in the political process could deprive the fiscal policy debate of important views and thereby give an unfair advantage to those with agendas to expand government.

Jefferson County

Local Measures

  • ( - ) Voters in the Palmyra-Eagle School District will consider a ballot meas- ure that would allow the District to exceed state revenue limits by $430,000 for the 2013-2014 school year through the 2016-2017 school year. Approving the measure would authorize a tax increase in this amount. This measure will also appear on ballots in portions of Waukesha and Walworth Counties.
  • ( - ) Voters in the Palmyra-Eagle School District will vote on a ballot meas- ure that would authorize the issuance of approximately $6.5 million in new debt to pay for renovations and repairs to school facilities. This measure will also appear on ballots in portions of Waukesha and Walworth Counties.

La Crosse County

Local Measures

  • ( - ) Voters will decide on a ballot measure that would allow the issuance of $79.8 million in new debt for the upgrade and renovation of school buildings at Western Technical Community College. If approved, prop- erty taxes would be raised by an estimated rate of $39 per $100,000  of assessed value per year.
  • ( - ) A ballot measure would allow the La Crosse School District to issue $15.7 million in new debt to build an elementary school.

Manitowoc County

Local Measures
