Project Dazzler Means New Hope, Development for Scioto County

It has been 200 years since Franklin Furnace, the iron furnace that gave the town its name, went into blast.

Scioto County now resembles hundreds of other counties across the U.S. that still struggle from lack of economic development long after blast furnaces were extinguished and the era of industrialization ended. Despite its challenges, the area remains extremely resilient. The addition of the data center campus known as Project Dazzler is being framed by some as another hurdle to overcome, but it actually more closely mirrors projects that signal hope for the future, just like Franklin Furnace once did.
