National Taxpayers Union Foundation Announces New Executive Leadership

The National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) is thrilled to announce that Joe Bishop-Henchman has been appointed the organization’s new Executive Vice President. Bishop-Henchman is stepping into the role after joining the organization in 2020 and spending two years as the Vice President of Policy and Litigation and leading NTUF’s Taxpayer Defense Center. Bishop-Henchman’s deep knowledge and leadership abilities have been on display during his time at NTUF and he’s well-positioned to help propel the organization to even greater successes ahead. The talented and capable Brandon Arnold will continue to serve as Executive Vice President of the National Taxpayers Union (NTU).

“NTUF has long been a guiding light in the taxpayer movement,” Bishop-Henchman said. “My time here has been one of growth and opportunity, and I look forward to continuing the excellent work done by everyone on staff and at our Interstate Commerce Initiative, Taxpayers’ Budget Office, and Free Trade Initiative. The challenges that taxpayers face in this country are enormous but we will be ever vigilant in fighting for their interests.”

Bishop-Henchman is stepping into the shoes of outgoing NTUF Executive Vice President Andrew Moylan, whose stewardship of the organization since 2017 have been invaluable in defining NTUF. Moylan is assuming a new executive position with Arnold Ventures, a philanthropic organization. .

“We couldn’t be happier with Joe’s work so far with NTUF, and are truly honored that he’ll be advancing into this leadership role with the organization,” said NTUF President Pete Sepp. “Andrew Moylan has been an extremely capable leader and leaves the organization on a sound footing for its next chapter. Joe’s career has been distinguished by always standing up for taxpayers, and we know he’s the right person to keep moving us forward.”

Bishop-Henchman has had immense impact in his two years with NTUF, leading the Taxpayer Defense Center and arguing tax law in front of federal courts across the country, while publishing extensively on some of the biggest tax policies coming out of Washington, D.C. His new position as Executive Vice President will allow him to continue providing strategic guidance in these areas as well as other NTUF programs.

"I spent five terrific years at NTUF, after having worked at NTU for an additional seven years previously in my career," Moylan said. "I owe a tremendous amount to NTU/NTUF and to Pete Sepp in particular, which is why I'm ecstatic that the organization I care so much about will get such a superlative leader in Joe Bishop-Henchman. His policy expertise, attention to detail, and management skills will surely take it to greater heights in the future. I couldn't be happier that taxpayers will have the best lawyer in town in their corner for the many fights to come."
