Brittany Madni is Senior Fellow for Fiscal Policy at National Taxpayers Union and National Taxpayers Union Foundation, where she focuses on federal budget and appropriations policy, fiscal oversight, and legislative strategy.
Madni’s work has been cited by major outlets like the Wall Street Journal and she has testified as an expert witness before multiple congressional committees.
Previously, Madni was the Executive Vice President of the Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC). In that capacity, she published 40 articles, research papers, and educational resources on federal budget policy. She was also responsible for strategic engagement with Capitol Hill and daily management of the EPIC team.
Before that, Madni served as a congressional aide and trusted senior advisor on Capitol Hill for over a decade, working for Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA), the U.S. House Budget Committee, where she played a critical role in developing the 2017 Republican health reform bill, Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA), and Congressman Troy Balderson (R-OH). She developed a nuanced understanding of the legislative process with an emphasis on budget and appropriations strategy.
Madni holds a B.A. in English and political science from Boston College and an M.P.S. in legislative affairs from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
