According to the Illinois Policy Institute, "[a] number of highly important issues including the proposal to hike income taxes, a landmark voucher bill, and pension reform are anticipated to be voted on early in the new legislative session. Talking to your legislators in person and making your voice heard is one of the most effective ways to help turn around the State of Illinois between elections." Illinois Policy Institute will provide free bus transportation from locations around the state. Additionally, the folks at the Institute will also help set up meetings with your legislators, provide background information to prepare for your meetings, and keep you up to date on important policy developments.
