Utah
NTU has nearly 3,300 members in Utah committed to low taxes and small government. While Utah has a relatively low flat tax on both individual and corporate income and is a generally competitive state, its gasoline tax is among the nation's highest. Unfortunately, targeted excise taxes also are always a candidate to be increased, especially during a recession. It's important that Utah lawmakers stay vigilant in opposing higher taxes and pursuing a pro-taxpayer agenda.
