Tennessee
NTU has over 5,700 members in Tennessee committed to low taxes and small government. Tennessee is one of seven states with no personal income tax. While this is an important attribute of a state with a strong climate for economic growth, it does not tell the whole story. Tennessee still has work to do. Tennessee has a high sales tax, and it levies an estate tax – these are two prime targets for pro-growth cuts. NTU plans to be heavily involved in any tax and spending cuts at the state level moving forward.
