At NTU we love competition, but New Jersey has spent years competing with neighboring New York in the wrong way – a perpetual battle for higher taxes. In recent years, the Garden State has increased taxes on income, property, alcohol, cigarettes, and a variety of other goods and services – to the tune of billions of dollars. In order to get back on track, Jersey needs to call off its assault on the private sector and cut taxes to spur job growth and keep its citizens from fleeing to better tax climates.
