Nebraska is a state at a competitive disadvantage to its neighbors. It shares a border with two states that levy no personal income tax. Montana is the only state to share this problem. This means that when Nebraskans get tired of their ever-increasing tax burden, they can jump in the car and move to Wyoming or South Dakota and keep more of their hard-earned money. NTU, on behalf of our more than 2,400 members in the state, will continue to fight for policies that erode the competitive advantage between Wyoming and Nebraska, policies like lower taxes and a smaller, more efficient government. Be sure to check back here often for more information on state and local taxpayer groups, our work on behalf of taxpayers in Nebraska, and contact information for your lawmakers.
