Wisconsin Fails to Buck Taxpayer-Financing for New Stadium

The Wisconsin State Senate approved a deal yesterday by a 21-10 vote that would approve taxpayer financing for a new arena for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, and now the proposal will move to the Assembly.

The plan calls for $250 million in public funds that will ultimately cost taxpayers $400 million over 20 years with interest. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has the full story.

While the Bucks will be trying to sink baskets their stadium might sink the city’s taxpayers.
