  • Congressman Jeb Hensarling supported legislation that would, on net, reduce federal spending by $232 billion, more than all but 5 other Representatives in the House.
  • In the House, 68 Representatives sponsored legislative agendas that would, on net, increase spending by more than $100 billion; 3 were from Texas.
  • The Texas Senate delegation supported an average of $178 billion in net budget cuts, the 8th lowest average of any other state in that chamber.
  • Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn sponsored the 15th and 12th lowest net spending agendas in the Senate, respectively.
