The goal of the Clean Power Plan proposed rule is to reduce carbon emissions for fossil-fuel-fired power plants throughout the country by a total of 30 percent before 2030.
In order to accomplish this, taxpayers like you will have to pay a price in the form of higher energy costs and a weaker economy, especially if you live in a state that relies heavily on coal for electricity generation. An unelected federal agency should not be given the power to create serious disruptions to state economies. This is an important opportunity to tell the EPA how the Clean Power Plan proposed rule would damage state economies. Add your voice, our leaders need to find a better way!
