Mississippi SCORECARD

NTU has over 2,100 Mississippi members committed to a small, accountable government and low taxes. The state sports a bloated public sector, with 648 public employees per 10,000 Mississippians – making it the 6th highest in the country. Economic growth comes from a vibrant private sector economy, which should be the focus of any public policy to come out of the Mississippi Legislature in 2010 and beyond. NTU will continue to fight for this and other pro-taxpayer reforms. Be sure to check back to our Mississippi page often for more information on state and local taxpayer groups, our work on behalf of taxpayers in the state, and contact information for your lawmakers.
