Indiana SCORECARD

Indiana was able to weather the economic storm of the late 2000’s better than most states, thanks to a Governor committed to reining in spending rather than resorting to raising taxes. But there is still work to be done on behalf of NTU’s more than 7,700 members in the Hoosier State. Indiana levies an unnecessary and painful death tax, and is not a Right to Work state. It is important to keep pressure on lawmakers so that they favor smaller government and oppose more taxes. Be sure to check back to our Indiana page frequently for information on state and local taxpayer groups, our work on behalf of taxpayers in the state, and contact information for your lawmakers.
