Georgia SCORECARD

NTU has nearly 8,300 Georgia members who are committed to smaller government and low taxes. Tax reform has been a popular topic of discussion in recent years; most notably a capital gains and corporate income tax cut made it to the Governor’s desk in 2009 but the cuts were ultimately vetoed. In terms of location, Georgia is at a competitive disadvantage with bordering Florida, which levies no personal income tax on its citizens. NTU will continue to fight on behalf of Georgians to lower the overall tax burden and bring prosperity and economic growth to the state. Be sure to check back to our Georgia page often for information on state and local taxpayers groups, our work on behalf of taxpayers in the state, and contact information for your lawmakers.
